Tristan Seume
Tristan Seume is one of UK’s most promising new solo fingerstyle guitartists. His compositions, which draw on folk, jazz and classical styles, show a maturity that belies his youth.
Tristan has performed at such events as Bath International Guitar Festival, Kirkmichael International Guitar Festival and Ullapool Guitar Festival, and has shared the stage with such players as Gordon Giltrap, Eric Roche, Clive Carroll, Colin Reid and Hugh Burns. He is currently promoting his first CD, Friday Street.
In 2000, Tristan was a finalist in Guitarist Magazine’s Acoustic Guitarist of the Year Competition, held at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre. He has since been performing regularly with the winner of the 2002 competition, Stuart Ryan.
He is also a popular guitar tutor, having taught at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford, and now at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) as well as giving seminars at the Bath International Guitar Festival and Cranleigh Arts Centre. Tristan also contributes a monthly article to Guitarist Magazine.
